The Romanian Tennis Federation published, on Wednesday, after the press conference of the Minister of TS, Ionuţ Stroe, the special training conditions, which will be able to be resumed after May 15 in individual sports, including tennis. Among the measures imposed during the training is the prohibition of spitting on the field, according to the document prepared by MTS.

Field tennis is among the individual sports in Romania that, starting on May 15, can resume activity, but under special conditions, according to an announcement made on Wednesday by the Minister of Youth and Sports, Ionuţ Stroe.

Thus, according to the document "Conditions for the resumption of training in the case of individual sports that can be practiced outdoors", published on the official website of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the measures described below describe the framework in which individual sports can be practiced by sports.

"This framework is valid exclusively for sports activities that can be practiced individually, in groups of no more than three people and in the open air," said FR Tennis.

We present below the conditions imposed by MTS, but adapted to c & acircmp tennis, according to FRT.

If sports disciplines are practiced outdoors but inside sports facilities, the administrators of these facilities must take measures to ensure that the following conditions are met:


1. A tennis court is allowed for access to a maximum of three participants (2 players, 1 coach / doctor, etc.)

2. It is not allowed for children to enter the field.

3. Land change is not allowed.

4. To the extent possible, players will score their own balls and use them only at work. At the end of the match, the balls will be tightened only with the help of specially designed tubes or with other equipment that does not involve a direct contact with the players' skin.

a) The bases should be fenced

c) To make the epidemiological triage of the participants in the sports activity and to measure the body temperature at the entrance to the sports base

d) At the basic access, the athletes will be listed on a nominal table, in order to facilitate the epidemiological investigation, in case of discovering a case of SARS-Cov infection 2

e) Access should be allowed only according to the capacity of the base, in order to avoid congestion, based on prior appointments, calculated in such a way as to allow sufficient time between users to disinfect the space.

f) Spectator access to the sports grounds is not allowed. As an exception, minors may be accompanied by a single adult

g) Public access will not be allowed to spaces that present a significant epidemiological risk (showers, sauna, locker room, fitness room, massage room, dining room (etc.)

h) The operation of vending machines for food, soft drinks and coffee is allowed, and the management of the sports base has the obligation to ensure their disinfection on a regular basis.

i) Each base will have provided at least one additional room (isolation space), which does not communicate with the other defined spaces, for the case in which a person presents during training / work symptomatology COVID-19. Its usefulness is to isolate these people who have symptoms at a specialist / evacuation consultation.

j) If a sports base cannot cumulatively meet the above conditions, it will remain closed.


1. Any training must be preceded by a self-assessment procedure. The common symptoms of COVID-19 are: cough, fever, difficulty breathing (increased respiratory rate), with sudden onset. Other symptoms that may occur are: stuffy nose, runny nose, sore throat, headache, muscle aches, diarrhea, fatigue. People who have one or more of these symptoms or have experienced it in the last two weeks should follow the procedures described by the health authorities and should not leave the home to practice.

2. Travel to and from the place of training must comply with all protective measures ordered by the authorities.

3. Measures must be prepared at the training site for the sanitation and / or disinfection of equipment and sports equipment (eg hydroalcoholic disinfectant gel).


a) It is allowed to practice sports activities only on outdoor fields. It is forbidden to carry out activities in rooms, pressostatic balloons or other closed structures.

b) Throughout training, a safe distance from other persons who may be present must be maintained. This distance is at least 2 meters during rest periods and at least 6 meters during periods of intense physical activity, in order to take into account the fact that perspiration or saliva particles can be transmitted over much greater distances in this context.

c) It is forbidden to spit in the training space.

d) It is allowed, provided that all measures of social distancing and personal hygiene are observed, general physical training & outdoors (stretching, elements of running school, balance exercises and spatial orientation in gymnastics, weight exercises, technique and tactical exercises individual through mental representation of the opponent or a specific fighting / game situation, technical execution / tactical boxing with the shadow, throwing to the basket / goal without the ball, etc.).

e) In the case of performance athletes, who are assisted by the coach and other specialists, the safety distance must be maintained even during the technical sessions. If the sports doctor is present, he must be able to protect the equipment throughout the direct interaction with the athlete.

f) Sports equipment (for example: bicycle, tennis racket, bow, etc.) must be used exclusively by one person or be completely disinfected before switching from one athlete to another.

3. Recovery treatment (physiotherapy, physical therapy) should be done with caution: it is preferable to be done only by people who are in absolute need. At any time, outside of the essential medical staff, only one person must be present in the physiotherapy / physiotherapy area.
