Hot sauce and whiskey might sound like strange cocktail bedfellows, but here they blend nicely with blood orange juice and and chile liqueur for a warming drink of a different stripe.
- 2 oz Rye whiskey
- 1/2 oz Ancho Reyes ancho chile liqueur
- 1/2 oz Fresh lime juice
- 1/2 oz Blood orange juice
- 1/2 oz Simple syrup
- 4 dashes Hot sauce
- Garnish: Blood orange peel
- Garnish: Lime peel
Add all ingredients into a shaker with ice and shake until well-chilled.
Strain into a coupe.
Garnish with skewered heart-shaped blood orange and lime peels.
