Brandy Sangaree

Dating back to the late 1700s, this single-serving punch is the perfect open-ended drink. At its simplest, it’s sweet, spicy and low on alcohol. But add a shot of your favorite brandy, and things get even more interesting.

  • 1/2 tsp Sugar
  • 1 tsp Water
  • 2 oz Brandy
  • 1 oz Port wine
  • Garnish: Grated nutmeg
  1. Add the sugar and water into a mixing glass and stir until sugar is dissolved.

  2. Add the brandy, port wine and ice and stir.

  3. Strain into a chilled Nick & Nora glass.

  4. Garnish with freshly grated nutmeg.
